Jakarta, October 8, 2025 — The guest lecture titled “The Ethics of Artificial Intelligence in Research and Scientific Publications”, organized by the Master of Electrical Engineering Program at Universitas Trisakti, was successfully held and well-received. Conducted online via Zoom Meeting, the event attracted high enthusiasm from the academic community of Universitas Trisakti.

The session featured Mr. Alva Erwin, S.T., M.Sc., M.T., Vice Director of the Indonesia AI Society and Board of Expert at the Center for AI & Advanced Technology Universitas Trisakti, as the keynote speaker. In his presentation, he thoroughly discussed the importance of ethics in the use of artificial intelligence technology, especially in the context of research and scientific publishing.

Interestingly, participants did not only come from the Master of Electrical Engineering Program or the Faculty of Industrial Technology, but also included lecturers from the Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD) and the Faculty of Law (FH). This demonstrated a strong interdisciplinary interest in the ethical issues surrounding AI usage. The total number of online participants reached approximately 78.

In his opening remarks, the Head of the Master of Electrical Engineering Program, Mr. Syah Alam, S.Pd., M.T., Ph.D., emphasized that similar events will continue to be promoted in the future, given the high level of enthusiasm. He also expressed hope that future sessions could be held offline to allow for more interactive discussions.

This guest lecture serves as clear evidence of Universitas Trisakti’s commitment to addressing the challenges of technological advancement while fostering ethical awareness in its academic applications.
